PRE-REQUISITES
- Basic networking knowledge and some work experience
- Python knowledge at Basic / Beginner level
- Knowledge of other languages is a plus (e.g. Bash, Perl, PHP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service, analytical and organizational skills
- Willing to work in 24×7 rotational shift
- Ability to take initiatives for individual projects as well as work in a team environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate and coordinate network/security maintenance and schedules
- Assign the system generated trouble tickets to the Network Engineers for troubleshooting
- Monitor and maintain network stability
- Create, maintain and enforce all processes and procedures for the Global Service Desk
- Work closely with other Global Service Desk Managers across other regions
- Handle issues proactively for priority customers and ensure resolution in timely manner
- Any additional task given to the incumbent from time-to-time based on business needs
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
- CCNA, CCNP
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 months of progressive, relevant experience and proven capability to work in a complex network environment
EDUCATION
- Bachelor in Engineering – Computers/Electronics/Communication or related field
- Graduate/Post Graduate in Science/Maths/IT or related streams with relevant technology experience
