Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack (Java, Micro-services, React/Angular)

You’ll lead the design and delivery of high‑scale, event‑driven services that power Mastercard’s Ethoca Smart Subscriptions. The role emphasizes quality, security, and performance across the full stack. What You'll Do Lead end‑to‑end product development as technical lead. Design and implement microservice and event‑driven architectures. Ensure performance, security, and other non‑functional requirements. Mentor engineers and promote best‑practice adoption. Collaborate with product, business, and architecture teams globally. Drive automation, efficiency, and quality initiatives. What You Need 10–15 years of hands‑on Java development with SOLID OOP design. Proven expertise in building microservices and event‑driven systems. Experience with Spring Boot, cloud platforms, and Agile (SAFe) delivery. Track record of delivering real‑time, high‑scale applications. Strong problem‑solving and innovative solution design skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management across global teams. Good to Have Front‑end proficiency in Angular or React with JavaScript, HTML, CSS. PostgreSQL expertise and optimized SQL development. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native practices. Experience with caching, messaging, or other distributed‑system frameworks.
